We’re Hiring: IP Network Planning Engineer

A leading multinational telecom operator is looking for an experienced IP Network Planning Engineer to join its team in Cairo.

???? Location: Cairo, Egypt — Hybrid

???? Employment Type: Full-time, outsourced

???????? Eligibility: Egyptian nationals only

What You’ll Do

* Plan, design, implement, and optimize IP and transmission network infrastructure.

* Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Huawei IP/MPLS equipment, including ATN and PTN routers.

* Work with routing and network technologies such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, QoS, L2VPN, and L3VPN.

* Monitor network availability and performance, identify potential issues, and recommend improvements.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-performing network solutions.

* Develop Python scripts and automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and reduce repetitive tasks.

* Support network projects and contribute to continuous service and process improvements.

What We’re Looking For

* Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

* At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Huawei IP/MPLS and transmission networks.

* Strong knowledge of MPLS, VPN technologies, routing protocols, QoS, and network troubleshooting.

* Practical experience working with Huawei equipment in CLI environments.

* A solid foundation in Python is mandatory, including an understanding of core programming concepts and basic scripting.

* Relevant certifications such as HCIA, HCIP, CCNA, or CCNP are a strong advantage.

* Good communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

* A proactive mindset and a genuine interest in automation, innovation, and continuous learning.
