Job Title: IT Administrator

Department: Information Technology

 Reports To: IT Manager

 Employment Type: Full-Time

 

Key Responsibilities

Systems, Network & Infrastructure Administration

Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot Windows servers, desktops, laptops, POS, and networking hardware (Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and Meraki access points).

Administer core IT services: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, VPN, file/print services.

Monitor and optimize LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi performance; implement VLANs and resolve connectivity issues.

Maintain VMware vSphere/ESXi virtual environments and storage systems.

Perform regular patching, system updates, backups (e.g., Veeam), and disaster recovery testing.

Maintain detailed and accurate documentation for configurations, systems, and IT assets.

Bonus skills: CCTV configuration and SQL Server administration.

Security & Compliance

Enforce IT security measures: firewalls, antivirus/EDR, access permissions, and patch management.

Identify vulnerabilities, apply hardening practices, and maintain compliance documentation.

Support audits and ensure alignment with internal security and IT policies.

Technical Support & User Assistance

Provide L1/L2 support for hardware, software, and network issues across user devices and peripherals in multiple remote locations.

Track and resolve issues using a ticketing system with clear documentation and follow-up.

Train and assist staff on IT tools, security awareness, and policies.

Ensure consistent and high-quality IT support for diverse teams across various sites.

Project & Operational Support

Participate in IT initiatives such as system upgrades, rollouts, and migrations.

Assist in infrastructure expansion and collaborate with internal teams and vendors.

Contribute to system tuning, resource planning, and long-term IT improvements.

 

Preferred Technical Skills

Operating Systems: Windows Server (2019–2025), Windows 10/11

Networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPN, Wi-Fi, Cisco networking

Virtualization: VMware vSphere/ESXi

Backup & Recovery: Veeam or equivalent tools

Security: Firewalls, antivirus/EDR, access control, patching

Productivity Tools: Office 365

Additional (Nice to Have): CCTV systems, SQL Server administration

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT administration, support, or network/system management.

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and multitasking capabilities.

Proficiency in English; excellent interpersonal and documentation skills.

Microsoft and/or Cisco certification is preferred.

Proven ability to support Windows environments, networking, and virtualization platforms.

Valid driver’s license is required; access to a car is a plus.

Willingness to support after-hours tasks and on-call duties as needed.
