 Salary: AED 16,000 + Benefits

Job Summary:

 We are hiring a Senior AIX Administrator with over 8 years of experience to manage and maintain IBM Power systems, including P950 and E1050. The ideal candidate must have strong expertise in AIX 7.1/7.2/7.3 environments and virtualization technologies, with a focus on IBM P series 9/10 administration. The role requires hands-on experience with LPARs, VIOs, HMC, and GPFS clusters, along with solid scripting and automation capabilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer IBM Power Systems (P950, E1050) and AIX versions 7.1/7.2/7.3

- Install, configure, and manage VIO servers, HMCs, and LPARs

- Handle LPAR migrations and create LLDs for LPAR profiles

- NWork with GPFS clusters, NIM environments, and perform system backups using mksysb

- Develop scripts for automation and efficiency

- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resources

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and maintain detailed documentation

- Stay updated with AIX technologies and industry best practices

 

Preferred Skills:

- AIX scripting (Shell, Python, Perl)

- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet)

- Experience with security hardening and compliance on AIX

- Understanding of virtualization (VMware/KVM) and AIX networking protocols
