Senior Network Security Engineer

Fully support, configure, maintain, and upgrade networks.

- Keep an eye out for needed updates and logs.

- Support and administer third-party applications.

- Monitor all security logs with the corporate team.

- Monitor security firewalls and review logs/threats to identify intrusions.

- Ensure network security and connectivity.

- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.

- Strong hands-on troubleshooting and development of monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).

- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.

- Provide 2nd level support.

- Define network policies and procedures.

- Strong hands-on troubleshooting, deployment, and administration of Cisco switches.

- Install, configure, and administer firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortigate, and Cisco FTD).

- Strong hands-on troubleshooting, deployment, and administration of NAC solutions (Cisco ISE, etc.).

- Configure and administer WAFs such as F5 or Citrix NetScaler.

- Monitor the network and provide daily reports.

- Configure ADSL, SDSL, and MPLS lines.

- Install, configure, and administer wireless solutions at different sites (Cisco WLC, Aruba).

- Monitor and test the performance of applications, foreseeing potential bottlenecks and identifying possible solutions.

 

Job Requirements

 

- BSc degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 5 to 7 years of experience.

- Proven experience in a network administrator role.

- Hands-on experience in networking, routing, and switching.

- Effective communication skills.

- Excellent problem-solving skills.

- Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of network and server infrastructure.

- Experience with firewalls, Internet VPNs, remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired.

- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking.

- Having a certificate in networking CCNP “routing and switching” and CCNP security is a must.

- Having ITIL is highly preferred.

- Able to manage multiple projects efficiently, maintain strict confidentiality, function in a dynamic environment, handle stress and high levels of responsibility, and work well in a team environment.

- Real experience with ticket and service management systems
