Telink (www.telink-semi.com), one of the leading IoT SoC companies, is hiring in Cairo, Egypt. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team fully responsible for developing state-of-the-art IoT multi-protocol wireless solutions, including dual-mode Bluetooth, Zigbee, 2.4G Proprietary, WiFi, and others. We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive IT Engineer to manage and maintain our company's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our internal network, VPN, laptops, and other essential IT systems
Responsibilities
• Network Administration: Design, configure, and maintain the company's internal network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime.
• VPN, Firewall, and Remote Access: Set up and manage VPN connections to ensure secure remote access for employees. Troubleshoot connectivity issues and maintain a high level of security.
• Windows Device Management: Set up, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, and peripherals for employees. Ensure regular updates and security patches are applied.
• IT Security: Implement and manage antivirus, endpoint protection, and other security solutions. Monitor for potential security threats and take proactive measures to safeguard systems.
• Helpdesk Support: Provide timely technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Document common issues and create user guides for frequently asked questions.
• Backup and Recovery: Set up and maintain data backup systems. Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place and tested regularly.
• IT Inventory Management: Keep an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, including hardware and software licenses. Recommend upgrades or replacements based on company needs.
• Collaboration Tools Management: Maintain and troubleshoot collaboration tools such as email, messaging platforms, and project management software. Ensure seamless integration and uptime of these tools.
Requirements
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT support or network administration roles.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing networks (LAN/WAN).
• Hands-on experience with VPN setup and management.
• Very good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems with emphasis on Windows and administration experience.
• Knowledge of IT security practices and tools.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Workspace, or Microsoft Azure) is a plus.
• Familiarity with scripting for automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
