ICT Engineer

Job Title: ICT Engineer (Airport Experience) – Server and Storage Specialist

Location: Jeddah

Type: Full time

Duration: 1-year renewable contract

 

Job Summary: We seek a highly skilled ICT Engineer with specialised experience in server and storage systems to join our team in an airport environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in managing and maintaining ICT infrastructure, with a focus on server and storage solutions. The role involves overseeing the operational performance, optimization, and troubleshooting of all server and storage-related systems that support critical airport services and operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Install, configure, and maintain servers (physical and virtual) across the airport’s infrastructure.

- Manage and optimize storage solutions, ensuring efficient performance and data integrity.

- Implement and manage storage area networks (SAN), network-attached storage (NAS), and backup systems.

- Perform routine updates, patches, and upgrades to server hardware and storage systems.

- Monitor storage capacity and server performance to ensure systems are functioning at optimal levels.

- Troubleshoot server and storage issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.

- Work closely with other teams (e.g., network, applications, airport operations) to ensure seamless integration of ICT systems.

- Provide regular reports on system performance, capacity planning, and incident management.

 

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of ICT engineering experience, with at least 3 years in server and storage management, preferably within the airport industry.

 

Technical Skills:

- In-depth knowledge of server hardware, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

- Extensive experience in storage systems (SAN, NAS, RAID configurations) and backup solutions.

- Familiarity with cloud storage solutions and hybrid infrastructures is a plus.

- Expertise in monitoring and performance optimization tools for server and storage environments.

- Knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN) and integration with server and storage systems.

- Experience with disaster recovery, high availability setups, and backup management.

 

Certifications: 

Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware, Cisco, Microsoft, CompTIA Server+, Storage Networking) are highly desirable.
