Transmission Engineer

• B.Sc. Electrical Engineering: Electronics and Communication

• Knowledge of Mobile Networks (2G/3G/LTE networks architecture, different call scenarios, basic troubleshooting of base station sub-system (BSS), Mobile Channels in different generations)

• 2-3 Years experience in the telecom industry (Transmission)

• Hand-on experience with Ericsson transmission equipment (Other vendors are a plus)

• CCNA.

• Excellent user of computer applications.

• Have good communication skills.

• Very good command of English.

• Ability to think quickly and calmly when working under pressure.

• Job position is available for both genders.

 

*Job Description: *

• Alarm monitoring and 1st-level troubleshooting for ER/// and other vendor TX nodes and links.

• Handling transmission change requests for site interventions and BO actions.

• Classifying and accordingly dispatching alarms to the Field Maintenance team.

• Guide FM resources to be properly equipped in the field to resolve the case, technical support, and on-site assistance if required in major incidents.

• Classifying and accordingly escalating alarms to the Back Office team via the service manager tool.

• Perform Escalation and Notification to keep management and other business units informed during system outages.

• Create and update/manage trouble tickets for any detected problem.

• Responsible for sending out notification SMSs for major outages and downlinks.

• Following up on FM and B.O teams on outages and down sites VIA TT system.

• Completely understanding of TX's different systems
