Position: System Administrator

Department: IT

Location: #Sharjah, UAE

Reports To: IT Manager

 

Job Summary:

 

The #SystemAdministrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring smooth server operations, network administration, security, and backup management. This role involves server maintenance, OS patching, virtualization, firewall management, and providing technical support to ensure optimal IT performance and security.

 

Key #Responsibilities:1. Server Maintenance & Upgrades

 

Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades on servers.

Ensure OS patches and security updates are applied in a timely manner.

Monitor server health, performance, and availability.

2. #ITInfrastructure & System Management

 

Install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure components, including hardware, software, and network devices.

Manage and configure #CCTV systems for security monitoring.

Ensure the smooth installation of new IT systems and software applications.

3. Firewall & Network Administration

 

Manage and configure firewall settings to maintain network security.

Administer and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity.

Monitor and optimize network performance and address connectivity issues.

4. Virtualization & Backup #Management

 

Oversee VMware virtualization environments, ensuring smooth operation.

Manage Veeam Backup solutions, ensuring data protection and disaster recovery readiness.

Perform daily SAP backups and ensure data integrity.

5. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

 

Provide technical support to end users, resolving hardware/software issues.

Maintain IT documentation, including network diagrams and system configurations.

Ensure IT policies and best practices are followed across the organization.

Required #Qualifications & #Skills:

 

#Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in system administration, network management, and IT infrastructure.

 

#Technical Skills:

 

Strong knowledge of Windows & Linux servers.

Hands-on experience with VMware, Veeam Backup, and SAP backup solutions.

Expertise in firewall management, LAN/WAN administration, and OS patching.

Familiarity with CCTV installation and system troubleshooting

Soft Skills:

Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.

Other Requirements:

Certifications like #MCSE, #CCNA, or #VMware Certified Professional are preferred.
