Position: Network Performance Engineer

Role Overview:
We seek a Network Performance Engineer to optimize and ensure our network infrastructure's reliability, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting, with a focus on enhancing performance and minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance across LAN, WAN, and cloud environments.
Identify and resolve network bottlenecks, latency issues, and packet loss.
Conduct root cause analysis for network performance issues and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with network architects and engineers to design performance-driven solutions.
Implement and maintain network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, Wireshark).
Develop and enforce performance baselines, thresholds, and reporting mechanisms.
Perform capacity planning and scalability assessments for network infrastructure.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in network performance management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3-5 years of experience in network performance engineering or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, QoS).
Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, NetFlow).
Experience with scripting/automation (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for network performance tasks.
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
