Job Overview

We are seeking an VoIP application Support Specialist to provide technical assistance and troubleshooting for VoIP systems, network hardware, and cloud-based communication solutions. The role requires shift-based work to offer 24/7 support, ensuring smooth service delivery and customer satisfaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

* Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network-related issues (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, NAT, firewalls).

* VoIP Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related Windows , VoIP platforms and associated hardware (IP phones, softphones, PBX systems).

* System Monitoring: Monitor system performance, logs, and call quality to ensure optimal performance.

* Customer Support: Assist customers via ticketing systems, remote access tools, and live chat.

* Collaboration: Work with engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues.

* Training: Provide basic training to customers on using VoIP systems and troubleshooting.

* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of customer issues, solutions, and configurations.

* Stay Current: Keep up to date with VoIP technologies, networking trends, and security best practices.

 

Required Qualifications

* Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

* Experience: 1-2 year of experience in VoIP application support role (Networking, ,VOIP ).

* Technical Skills:

o Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN, VLANs).

o Knowledge of VoIP systems and protocols (SIP, RTP, Asterisk, FreePBX).

o Experience with VoIP hardware (IP phones, softphones, PBX systems).

o Familiarity with Windows environments for troubleshooting and deployment.

o Knowledge of VoIP security best practices (firewalls, encryption).

o Experience with tools like Wireshark or TCPDump is a plus.
