**Location:** Maadi, Egypt

**Job Description:**

 

The company is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join its branch in Maadi, Egypt. The Engineer will be responsible for maintaining the company’s datacenter physical equipment, including firewalls, appliances, backup systems, and over 150 servers.

 

**Required Qualifications:**

 

* Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including Intune, Exchange Online, and SharePoint Online.

* Active Directory management and administration.

* Installation and administration of the corporate antivirus, Kaspersky Endpoint.

* Datacenter monitoring, including server installation in DC racks, server maintenance, and other hardware tasks (HP, Dell).

* Windows and Linux OS installation, management, and troubleshooting.

* VMware product installation and management (Vcenter / Esxi 7.5).

* Installation, securement, and support of hosting servers and shared services such as Parallel Plesk and WHM (Cpanel).

* Management and administration of backup and restore processes for customers using Veeam and Acronis Backup.

* Management and administration of Cisco Email Security Appliances “Cisco ESA.”

* Technical support (Level 2) via Service Desk Tickets for company employees and customers.

* Day-to-day data center monitoring services, including hardware and OS monitoring, using OpManager and PRTG EventLog Analyzer.

* Firewall configurations, monitoring, and administration (FortiGate 100C and Sophos UTM).

 

**Preferred Qualifications:**

 

* Experience in managing and administering cloud-based environments.

* Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices.

* Knowledge of database management systems.

* Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.

 

**Responsibilities:**

 

* Monitor all software and hardware products to ensure compliance with Data Center standards. This includes maintenance tasks such as hardware, applications, product, and contract renewals, spare parts availability, and inventory management.

 

* Assist the presales/sales team with technical estimations and pricing for new projects.

 

* Proficiency in Linux, including installation and administration of various distributions such as CentOS and Ubuntu.

 

* Manage authoritative DNS (Linux Named).
