Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Years of experience (2-3)

* Experienced in VMware ESX 5.5, 6.0, 6,5, and vSphere 5/6.5

* Experience in building or managing VxRail-based hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI)

* Experience in supporting Converged/Hyperconverged products such as VBlock, VxRail nodes,

* VxRack, Dell Management & TOR Switches, vRealize, NSX-V, NSX-T, EMC Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS)

* In-depth knowledge of VMware vRealize Automation 6.x, VMware vRealize Orchestrator 6.x

* Exhibit a deep understanding of server virtualization, networking, and storage ensuring that the solution scales and performs with high availability and uptime

* Knowledge of Cisco HyperFlex and HyperConverged technologies

* Manage the installation, deployment, and configuration of VxRail and VMware virtualization platform, perform security checks, and troubleshoot issues ensuring maximum performance and uptime for all Windows servers and VM ware platform leading to optimal performance 

* Handle day to day operations of Windows and VMware technologies and 

* Define and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for Windows and VMware system administration, security, and compliance.

* Installation of latest security patches on Esxi hosts via SHH & VUM quarterly on ESX/ESXi servers.

* Migration of physical server to virtual through standalone converter.

* Creating & managing User accounts, OS hardening, handling of various services of Windows server & ESX/ESXi servers, managing the password policies of the users, file permissions, Admin access, restricting anonymous access of registry, etc.

* Installation & up gradation and Monitoring VxRail

* Creating VMs, taking snapshot, clones, templates (deploying new VMs from templates), VM migration on ESX servers, Storage Migration.

* Monitor system performance and conduct performance tuning to optimize resource utilization and enhance system efficiency.

* Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Windows servers and VMware virtual machines, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.

* Implement and maintain security measures to protect Windows servers and VMware virtual machines from security threats and vulnerabilities.

* Lead initiatives to automate routine tasks and streamline administrative processes using scripting and automation tools.

* Collaborate with other IT teams to support the integration of Windows servers and VMware virtual machines with other infrastructure components.

* Stay updated with the latest Windows and VMware technologies and best practices, evaluating and recommending new tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness

* Perform other responsibilities as required by higher levels of supervision
