NOC Agent

Job Summary:

We are looking for a NOC Agent to join our Network Operations Center (NOC) team. The NOC Agent will be responsible for monitoring network infrastructure, identifying issues, and ensuring quick resolution to maintain high system availability. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor network, servers, applications, and infrastructure for performance issues using NOC tools.

Detect, analyze, and report incidents to ensure quick resolution and minimal downtime.

Provide first-level troubleshooting for network, system, and application-related issues.

Escalate complex issues to the appropriate teams and follow up until resolution.

Document incidents, resolutions, and actions taken in the ticketing system.

Assist in routine system maintenance, backups, and patch updates.

Work closely with IT, security, and engineering teams to resolve critical issues.

Ensure compliance with SLAs and operational procedures.

Provide status updates and reports on network and system health.

Work in rotating shifts (including nights, weekends, and holidays) to ensure 24/7 coverage.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

3-4 years of experience in a NOC, IT support, or network monitoring role.

Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).

Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG) is a plus.

Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Ability to work in a high-pressure, 24/7 operational setting.

Preferred Certifications (Optional but Advantageous):

CompTIA Network+

CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate)

ITIL Foundation
